What's the best amateur brand of hair dye to lighten medium blonde hair? It's been several years since I have done this myself...I used something like L'Oreal in the past. I must not have any red hues in my natural color as it worked quite well without turning orangey. I am just not up on the best brands currently.
Thanks! | | I'm not sure how to answer that, but maybe get it highlighted? Thats what i do and i love it! | How to make the color blonde? I am painting a portrait of my German Shepherd. Her coat has the colors, blonde, chestnut, and tan. How can I make the colors with the acrylic paint. Especially the color blonde. And any info. on how to do this and how to paint a dog portrait would realy help me. I am an amateur. | Do you have the dog to look at (not to be grim... the dog is alive, this is not a memorial?) look at the fur up close. It's layers and luminosity, not one color!
If the dog is patient, try punching a hole in a piece of white card and look at all the colors in her coat -- then use those colors. You can even (if you have a few cards) mix a little paint and put it on the card near the hole to see how it matches. Try all sorts of things, and make a note of the ones that work.
If you just give yourself over to this exercise, you might be amazed at all the colors you find -- colors you would never think of using, greys, greens... etc. And when you use them in your painting, you'll be surprised at how these colors add depth, realism and life to your painting. | What's the TV show that used to be on the early 90's on Channel Four starring an amateur tennis champ? The show was on Channel 4 after tea time and was American. It starred a blonde girl who was a tennis champ and she used to go outside and play tennis with herself off the wall of her house. I am goin insane trying to remember it! It was out around the same time as Blossom. any ideas?? | Phenom?

| What do people want/want to see in a horror movie? I'm writing a very amateur script and I would like to know what people would like, I understand the idea of a stupid blonde girl surviving is overdone, so please tell me what you want, it has to be a horror. | | Fureal? | Who sung What a wonderful world? It was sung and posted by a mid-age blonde, amateur singer, and she had a lot of subscribers, and I was one of them too if I remember right, but now I can't find it the video nor her account. Help please. Let me know if the video has been uploaded elsewhere or at least her name. | | It was actually a boy. Louis Armstrong. | Do I sound amateur...? Though I AM amateur, I don't want to SOUND it, obviously, so here is a hallway scene in my short story. Nothing spectacular really happens, just a few minor things.
Dragging his hand through his curly blonde hair, Harrison frowned, gripping the pencil with more force. Clare watched him, her wondering eyes taking in the sharp features of his face and irises. His eyes were pretty, she thought in astonishment. She hadn’t given him much thought, really. Harrison was just another guy she saw frequently around the area, but he had crossed her mind regularly then, seeing as how her newly ex-boyfriend looked almost like family to him. They had the same curly blonde hair, shorter than their ears but still dangling into their eyes. They were both skinny and tall, considered lanky and awkward by some girls, but not Clare. The only thing different was that Richard, her ex, had bright blue eyes, always happy and positive, while Harrison’s eyes were a flat green, bored and looking at the world as if it were not worth his time.
Harrison sat in Bread Bowl Café, the number two pencil being twirled anxiously in his long skinny fingers as he wrote more in the college-lined journal he carried, its leather binding torn and tattered from old age and improper care. Whatever he wrote in that thing, Clare thought, must have been important, since he took it everywhere he went. Clare could imagine him writing a novel about a couple in the 1800s or poems about forbidden love, all mysterious like that.
Not that she ever thought about him when he wasn’t around. It was a complete coincidence that he came to the same café that she did every Sunday morning. It was a complete coincidence that they always sat in seats diagonal from each other. Clare didn’t give the coincidences much thought, but she knew they were there. Her mind was always working on other things. Besides, she only knew Harrison’s name because they had just graduated high school together, Class of 2011.
Clare sipped her coffee gingerly, her hands burning from the cup it was in. She watched as Harrison grumpily set his pencil down, snapping the book shut with an irritated huff. She tried to remember bits of him from high school, but didn’t come out with much. Mostly, her thoughts from the time were about Richard, but even when she thought of when they weren’t a couple, all she could remember was the standoffish attitude Harrison always had, the way he never wanted to make friends with his acquaintances or join any extracurricular activities like swimming or track. Clare could see him as a track runner. He had long legs, the kind those runners from Kenya had, except Harrison was oddly clumsy. Even sitting down, Clare could see that Harrison was clumsy. His legs trampled each other under the table.
Harrison’s slate green eyes, the kind that shifted color from gray to green, flickered up, dancing across Clare’s face. There was no recognition in his eyes. Well, there really wasn’t much to see. What was memorable about a girl with freckles and blonde curls? In fact, Harrison’s eyes looked angry, as if what he saw did not please him, which was not too far off base.
Harrison hated it when people stared, especially people like Clare. He didn’t like it when girls who thought they were harmless and helpful came over, chatting him up about random and pointless topics that he couldn’t care less about. Clare gave him an unsettling feeling. Harrison took it as the pretense of another meaningless banter. He decided to seize it before anything could come, and he strode away from the café, the bag with his journal over his right shoulder. Tripping over his own shoes, he went home, grateful for the spared time, but not showing it. | Not amateur - but you (like all writers) would benefit from being part of a writing group. Look on the web for some groups in your area or in the paper. Ask at the local library if there are any. If you don't like one group, find another one. There are also quite a few online writer's groups if that is more comfortable for you. I'm going to make a few suggestions below - hope they are helpful.
Dragging his hand through his curly -- BLOND hair, -- Harrison frowned, gripping the pencil with more force. Clare watched him, taking in the sharp features of his face. EVEN HIS EYES WERE SHARP. His eyes were pretty, she thought in astonishment. She hadn’t given him much thought, really. Harrison was just another guy she saw frequently around the area, but he had crossed her mind regularly then, seeing as how her newly ex-boyfriend looked almost like family to him. (THE PREVIOUS IS NOT CLEAR "almost like family to him." - to whom? Was it just that they look alike?) They had the same curly BLOND hair, shorter ABOVE THE ears AND dangling IN their eyes. They were EACH skinny and tall. SOME GIRLS considered THEM lanky and awkward but not Clare. The only differenCE was that Richard, her ex, had bright blue eyes, always happy and positive, while Harrison’s eyes were a flat green, bored and looking at the world as if it were not worth his time.
You get the idea, right? It's a good beginning to a chapter and with some help on editing/rewriting for clarity and conciseness, as well as fleshing it out in some areas, it will make a very good story. So find that writer's group and participate with them. It's great fun - and addictive, too! :-) | How do you sharpen a pocketknife? I'm an amateur with knives and such and i was wondering how to sharpen a pocketknife. I guess it'd be something useful to know so i'd appreciate it if someone could explain it for me....should i feel like a blonde for that? =/ | | every body is blond on knives thats why there is so many easier better things on market just get flat two side arkansaa stone lay on flat spot and slowly pull blade down length of stone ( like cuttin a thin peice off) then look at side of blade see new shiny area an lower or raise angle to about original , do that few times an do other side use the slicker side last and repeat little oil or spit for a lube an slice peice of paper at corner to test, | Getting a lighter blonde.? I'm a total amateur.
See, we don't have a cosmetologist in town who will do certain things with hair we like.
Crowns, certain cuts, colors, certain patterns and designs.
So I decided to teach myself to do things which is really pretty simple.
Usually I get my advice from sites or professionals I know personally.
What I need though is a lighter blonde.
Going from a dark hair, I usually bleach, which comes out with a blonde with a sort of golden tinge...
Well a 'client' wants a light blonde almost platinum but I don't know how to get this.
If you could help me with this, as in additional products and things, or maybe even something totally different.
:) Thanks, hope your holiday was nice. | | get a bunch of small light light light blond highlights and it will look super pretty |
