What are the best places to hook up with sweet college babes that are into my bro the Obaminator? If you know of a place - don't hoard the info bro. This babes have to appreciate the Euro stylings of the VW love bus. |
| Dude! Like, the best place is in the lobby of abortion clinics. You're sure to pick up some chicks that put out there. Totally gnarly dude. |
Is the Sweet Briar college photography program a good program? I'm interested in majoring in Studio art emphasizes in photography but I don't know if Sweet Briar college has a good art program... Please help me out and thanks! :) |
I'm a student at Sweet Briar who has taken multiple studio art classes, including a few in photography. I'll be up front about it, it's a small program. That can be a great thing or a terrible thing, depending on how you look at it. There is currently only 1 photography professor, but she is fantastic, and the photo lab itself is all in all pretty sweet (12 ft long developing station, studio room, class/discussion room, dark room with about 10 stations in all). I loved the classes I took with Paige, and was really sad when I had to give them up in order to focus on other academic commitments.
The entire studio art department has about 5-7 professors, which means that they will get to know you very quickly and work with you closely until you graduate. It's a similar situation with any of the majors on campus.
The quality of the program itself depends a lot on personal preference. Visiting campus and meeting the professors is really the best way to determine if it's the best for you. SBC admissions can probably also connect you with current studio art majors or studio art major alumnae who can give you more info if you're unsure.
I hope this helps! |
Can you bring dogs to sweet briar college? can u bring a dog to sweet briar college? |

New car for college? Something sweet looking and good acceleration? Under 22k? I'm looking to buy a new car for college. I have up to $22,000 to spend. I want something smaller that looks sweet and has some kick to it....... good acceleration. It also needs to have all/front wheel drive for the winter and the snow. Any ideas of what to look for? Send links to pics of these cars please |
| You would probably bee looking at a Mitsubish Evo or a Subaru Impreza. They are AWD and come with the option of Turbo. They will eat dodge avengers alive in all weather. |
Would you want a Sweet 16 in college football? I know the basketball tournament starts with 32 teams, so why not take the top 16 of the 25 teams? You could play it like the college basketball tournament, have the Elite 8, Final Four, then the championship. |
Yeah because the BCS ranking system has too many flaws. A 7 ranked team, like the Bucks, should have a chance to make it into the championship.
By the way, LSU is overrated. It should be Kansas who is #1 because they are undefeated. |
Is Tony Gonzalez the only NFL player to make it to the sweet 16 in college basketball? Remember in 1997 Tony scored 23 points against Villanova for Cal as they advanced to the sweet 16 where they lost to #1 ranked North Carolina..
Well is Gonzalez the only NFL player to play in a sweet 16? |
| No Julius Peppers played for Carolina when Matt Doughty took them to the final four in 2000 or 2001. |
Has anyone ever heard of Sweet Briar College? And if you have, is it a good school? Seriously, I have received some letters from them and I am intrigued. |
| I saw the website for this school. Its in all girl school and its pretty good school. They have so many majors to choose from. Take a look www.sbc.edu/. |
What do you think about the Equine College *Sweet Briar*? IF you are Going to this College, or have Been to this College, or is going there Now....what do you think of their Equine Program???
I am Very interested in this College!!! So just wondering what are your thoughts about "SWEET BRIAR, Equine College??"
Have Also Heard that *FINDLAY* is Good too....
THNX!!! |
| It is a wonderful school. Great education, beautiful campus, and the vast majority of the women are very, very nice. Only thing I'll warn you about though is that if you don't like being out in the country, you may not like it. It's an hour to get just about anywhere. Converse is a better bet if you want a women's college in a city. But I don't know much about Converse's equestrian program, though. If that's your primary concern, SBC's the place for you. But wherever you go, look at it first if at all possible. Go and meet the professors and the students. It's an important decision. |
Is sweet briar college a good riding college? i want to go to sweet briar college. Is this schools riding program worth it?What was your favorite thing about SBC?The school has 39,000 tution fee does anyone have any good ideas for scholarships?Does anyone know of any other good riding colleges? |
If you are a hunter-jumper and are looking for a competitive IHSA or ANRC Riding program then Sweet Briar offers one of the most successful programs in the country. All of the riding facilities (including an indoor ring and two outdoor rings) are top of the line and fully equipped with lighting and perma-flex footing which is dragged every day. Even if you are not a competitive rider, the school provides a range of opportunities and horses for every level- from bomb-proof beginner horses to show-ring veterans. In addition, there are a number of stalls available to board your own horse and the option to lease one of the college's horses. The only caution I would give you is that if you are a serious 3-day eventer, there is little opportunity to practice dressage or to ride cross-country and there are no event trainers in the riding program.
My favorite thing about SBC continues to be the personal relationships students are able to develop with their professors (not to mention that your classes will be taught by professors, not teaching assistants). Since class sizes rarely exceed 25 students, you will get to know your professors who will continually encourage you to participate in discussions and to meet with them outside of class. Not only does knowing your professors create a interactive, comfortable yet challenging learning environment but when you go to apply for jobs or graduate school your recommendations will being coming from someone who actually knows you on an academic and personal level- not just as a number in a class.
As far as scholarships go, Sweet Briar is renowned for the amount of aid and scholarships they award to students each year. Approximately 92% of the student body is receiving some kind of financial assistance from the college. Outside of the college, you can go to findtuition.com or similar sites in order to search for additional scholarships. Some will require you to have a certain GPA, interest of study or to write an essay on a certain subject. There are a lot of scholarships out there and they can certainly add up!
As partial as I am to Sweet Briar =] you could look at other colleges in the area (against whom SBC competes) or I'm told that Mt. Holyoke has a similar program though I am not familiar with it.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you want to know anything further. |
